Telit LE910S1 Linux support added in kernel v5.13

Telit LE910S1 Linux support is available since kernel version 5.13-rc4 and has been back-ported in Linux stable releases 5.12, 5.10, 5.4, 4.19, 4.14, 4.9 and 4.4.

The LE910S1 in its European variant (LE910S1-EA) is an industrial-grade, cost-optimized LTE Cat 1 module ideal for IoT applications that need data and voice transmission, including devices requiring full mobility throughout the extended European region.

LE910S1-EA supports 2G fallback and connecting devices in remote areas where LTE networks have not rolled out yet and voice use cases in the absence of Voice over LTE (VoLTE).

Other relevant features are: LTE FDD Cat.1. 3GPP release 9 compliant (uplink up to 5 Mbps, downlink up to 10Mbps), single LTE antenna, GNSS support.

Supported Linux compositions

Telit LE910S1 presents two compositions:

0x1bc7:0x7010 RNDIS, tty, tty, tty
0x1bc7:0x7011 ECM, tty, tty, tty

The network interfaces do not require any Linux kernel patch, while support for serial ports has been added to option with patch USB: serial: option: add Telit LE910-S1 compositions 0x7010, 0x7011
